"You are a living magnet; you attract into your life, people, situations and circumstances that are in harmony with your dominant thoughts. Whatever you dwell on in the conscious, grows in your experience" - Brian Tracy
You've no doubt heard people talk about good and bad vibes. The word vibe comes from the word vibration. There are only two types of vibrations, positive and negative. Everything you do, think or feel sends out either a positive or negative vibration. Isn't it funny how when we think about how much we hate Mondays because it's the first day back at work after a great weekend and we expect that it will be long and tedious, it typically is. And then we look forward to Fridays because it's the last day at work, and we've got a fantastic weekend planned and the day just flies by. This is the law of attraction at work. We are attracting the results of our expectations. So when you get out of bed in a bad mood, expect a bad day full of negativity. In the same way, when you jump out of bed, excited about what the new day will bring, you'll find the day full of positive experiences. Remember, luckily for us, the law of attraction has no memory. The vibration you're giving off at this moment in time is the vibration the Universe responds to.
The law of attraction focuses on the words we use in our everyday lives. This is largely because our feelings are determined by our thoughts and our thoughts are determined by the words we use. When we speak negatively we are reflecting our negative feelings. One sure fire way to increase the positivity in our lives is to remove the words don't, not and no from our vocabularies. While this may seem an impossible task at first, (and I challenge you to try it) it does become easier with practice. The most practical way to implement this change of vocabulary is to continually ask yourself – "what do I want?" The best example of this is using the phrase "remember to…." rather than "don't forget….".
You change the vibration you send to the Universe by removing negative words from your speech.
Did you know you can set your own daily vibration? It's called Deliberate Attraction. It works when you set about to deliberately send the vibration you want. You can change what you HAVE in your life to what you WANT in your life. Let me explain.
There is a 3 step process to Deliberate Attraction –
1. Identify your greatest Desires
To identify what you want you must first know what you don't want. Make a list of the things that you don't like and then ask yourself "what do I want?" Make another list of the things that you do want and presto, you've just identified your desires.
2. Give them your constant Attention
Use daily affirmations to give attention to your desires. Be careful to ensure that you believe your affirmations. They can become negative vibrations if you doubt them. Using the phrases "I'm in the process of…", "I love how it feels when…." and "I'm excited at the thought of…." can ensure that all of your affirmations are overflowing with positive vibrations.
3. Allow them to manifest
You must have a total absence of doubt to manifest your desires. This is only achieved when you are totally convinced that you are already in possession of your desires. A useful tool for doing this is to use Allowing Statements. Ask yourself if there is anyone already has what it is you want and if so how many? Always write your statement in the third person. Then once you believe that others have it, you can begin to believe that it's also yours.
I'll show you an example:
Desire – "To become a successful businessperson"
Daily Affirmation – "I'm excited at the thought of becoming a successful businessperson"
Allowing Statement – "There are hundreds of thousands of people commencing and running successful businesses globally"
These are some very basic guides to help you implement the law of attraction in your life. There are many fabulous resources available for you to investigate the law of attraction further. I've listed some of my favourites below. I wish you every success.
